We were on the begining of the 90's
when our son requested us a Persian cat as a gift of his succeed year
school.
This way and by intermediate of a friend, we went for a Cats International
Exhibition at Fórum Picoas in Lisbon, organized by the Culturefeline
Portuguese Club, where we acquire our first Persian Cat color Smoked Black,
by the name Smokey
Dilema borned at the 26th of September of 1991.
With this cat we went for an Exhibition that were done at the Ferreira
Borges Market in Porto at the 26th of April of 1992, where Smokey obtain
his first point, giving this way the begining of a great Champion career.
At June 1992 we acquire a girlfiend color Turtle for our kitten, by the
name of Giola (Gigi), whose relationship come to give us
three beautiful males kittens - two black and one red which have the names
Atos, Ali
Babá e Átila.
It was this way that we initiate our Cattery, whose affix is Krystális,
in honor of the fine crystal that it's produced in our land - the City of
Marinha Grande.
At a later time we acquire a blue turtle female cat, Lara
(in August 95) from a french breeder and a male, Clive
(in May 98), two-color black from a canadian breeder resident in Portugal,
whose lineage from this cat it's one of the best and biggest breeders of
Italy.
These are the reasons that have been an incentive for us to breed these
lovely and beautiful pets for more than a decade, whose results have been
superb, since we know that from our long list of cats that were out from our home and that are spread over the
Country from North to South and foreign, they had take with their
eye a small fraction of happiness, receiving in exchange, we have
sure, from their current owners, affection and care, things that they
recognize and stay so much thankfull. During all
these years, we have shown our friendly and furry cats
in various exhibitions organized in Portugal, Spain, France, Gibraltar and
Germany, acquiring the best awards at the various ranks (males and females),
since young ones, júniors and adults.
As an example which we just mention, it was our female cat Only
color Blue turtle which among all others National Champions, was
considered the best Champion of the year 2000, in an Exhibition realized
in Almada, which event we were for the first time. This fact was covered
at the right time by some of the national Press, specially with the
Newspaper "Jornal Correio da Manhã".
Face to this award and by a question of regulation of the Exhibition
from full responsability from "Whiskas" we had to expose our
female cat at the Mondial of Augsburg - Germany in February 2001, in which
our female cat Only was the best specimen in the color,
as well as our male Clive - black and white (European
Champion) that was nominated for the great final, staying in
second place exequo with more four males. We must take in count these
results in very brilliant, once that we were in compete with great quality
Persian cats well presented, arising from all over the World.
Doing this historic of our Cattery, we also state that all this result
have been done with very effort, dedication and a lot of work, whether
grooming all our cats once a week, whether giving them the food and water
as well as maintaining their sand boxes always clean, because it's essential
maintain a high hygienic condition and sanitary. With the breed of
cats and wanting to have some success without profitable purposes, because
this result in huge expenses as for example, food, vaccines, veterinary,
exhibitions (inscriptions), displacements, etc. Only with lots of
love for these lovely animals we can do the right divulgation revealing
the breed and colors that exist in all the World and that the most people
disregard.
The KRYSTÁLIS Cattery is registered
in the Culturefeline Portuguese Club pertaining to "F.I.F.e." -
International Feline Federation and to "C.F.A."
